Wakiso covers the biggest part of the central region. Some of its youth are located around Lake Victoria where the rates of HIV are high. With the increased rates of unemployment, youth have used the surrounding areas to create jobs as a way to reduce new HIV infections.
Youth businesses included mosquito and flies repellants, catching and selling live fish, breeding and raring of maggots. These presented their businesses to investors and mentors who gave them free mentorship sessions an also became partners in their businesses. They also promised to get them market for their products.
