Future Generation Art Prize 2027 for Emerging Artists Worldwide (US$60,000 Cash Prize)
Applications are now open for the2027 Future Generation Art Prize.The Future Generation Art Prize is a biannual global contemporary art prize to discover, recognize and give long-term support to a future generation of artists. Established by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation in 2009, the Prize supported the artistic development and production of new works of over 100 artists in exhibitions at the PinchukArtCentre in Kyiv and as official collateral events at the Venice Biennale in 2011, 2013, 2017 and 2019.
With a network of over 60 partner platforms and 400 correspondents all over the world, the Prize benefits from its unique partners who work as ambassadors and encourage artists to apply for the prize.
A major contribution to the open participation of younger artists in the dynamic cultural development of societies in global transition, the Prize has supported the artistic development and production of new works of over 100 artists in exhibitions at the PinchukArtCentre in Kyiv and la Biennale di Venezia. Alongside an open call, a global network of partner platforms and special correspondents work as ambassadors to encourage artists to apply for the prize.
Benefits
- Together with its award of $100,000 and commitment to commission new works, the Prize sustainably supports artists around the globe.
- Main prize: The grand prize winner receives $100,000, of which $60,000 is a cash prize and $40,000 is an investment in his artistic practice.
- Special awards: The jury has the right to award up to 5 special prizes. Their winners receive a total of $20,000 for the development of artistic projects.
Requirements
- All artists up to 35 may apply with their work without any restrictions concerning gender, nationality, race or artistic medium.
- The artists apply through an open call via the Internet.
- Additionally, 300 correspondent art experts from all over the world will nominate a minimum of two and a maximum of five candidates.
- The experts are curators, artists, critics and tutors at art colleges and academies.

- September 14, 2026: Shortlist announcement
- Spring 2027: Exhibition of shortlisted artists at PinchukArtCentre
- Spring 2027: Future Generation Art Prize 2027 award ceremony
