#InternationalYouthDay2025 is to bring youth issues to the attention of the international community and celebrate the potential of youth as partners in today’s global society. The 2025, theme “Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond,” aligns closely with the Habitation for Empowerment Network’s mission to celebrate youth leadership and reaffirms its commitment to empowering local organizations (NGOs & CBOs), young changemakers to drive sustainable, community-based solutions. As the world works toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), youth are not just stakeholders but they are essential partners in translating global commitments into meaningful, local action.

For Habitation for Empowerment Network, this is our opportunity to celebrate and mainstream young peoples’ voices, actions, and initiatives, as well as their meaningful, universal, and equitable engagement. Young people bring creativity, grassroots knowledge, and a strong sense of purpose that can bridge the gap between policy and practice. We stand committed to advancing youth-led solutions, intergenerational collaboration, and community-driven leadership that foster peace and shared prosperity.

Ways to create social Impact in your community

• Focus on local action to bring out the power of creativity that builds up meaningful impact in your community and contributes to global development.
• Become a leader, innovator and/or change agent within your community to actively participate in shaping the whole world.
• Create and generate collaborations between the youth, governments and organizations to build inclusive and supportive environments for youth development.
• Use digital tools and platforms for youth to connect, collaborate and amplify their voices on a global scale, facilitating dialogue and co-creation of solutions.
• Work on the most issues affecting the world including climate action, social change, economic development, etc.
